This position is responsible for the preparation of the companys required filings with the SEC, serving as a technical expert and resource regarding generally accepted accounting principles and SEC rules and regulations affecting the company, managing press releases and communications with investors, managing the companys stock-based award plans, and developing and updating financial forecasts and annual budgets.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare the companys SEC filings by preparing and filing 10K, 10Q, 8K, Proxy, XBRL and other SEC reports and manage the review process, including coordination with the external auditors.
Assess new SEC/GAAP pronouncements and prepare technical memos, including review of the companys revenue recognition to ensure compliance with the companys policy and applicable accounting standards.
Prepare monthly and quarterly close schedules, including weighted average share calculation, earnings per share calculation, and various balance sheet analyses.
Prepare and coordinate the company quarterly press releases, press release scripts and earnings conference calls.
Prepare annual budget and monthly forecast for the company.
Manage the company stock-based award plans.
Manage the companys investor and public relations programs including scheduling conferences, preparing presentations, address investor and analysts questions and issues, and advise the company on strategic direction.
Annual Shareholder Meeting.
Maintain an effective internal control structure to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A bachelors degree and CPA is required. Big 4-auditing/accounting experience is preferred. At least 5 years of SEC reporting, including MD & A and Footnotes Disclosures is needed. Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC Regulations is required. Sarbanes-Oxley experience is preferred. Excellent PC skills are necessary, including a high-level knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet preparation. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and travel are essential.
