Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is now hiring for a Residential Plumbing/Mechanical Designer for our client in Boise ID. Qualified candidates meeting client criteria will be contacted by a Volt recruiter.The Engineering Team position will be responsible for schematic design, plumbing / mechanical code compliance, permit submittal drawings, shop drawings and material schedules. The scope will include all phases of design for Water, DWV and Gas systems within multi-family residential, single family and light commercial structures, as well as limited mechanical and HVAC design. All work will be completed in the current release of Revit Architecture with limited use in AutoCAD. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment with other design professionals and construction workforce. Qualified candidate must be very detail oriented and have a firm grasp of construction & framing assemblies.

Job Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience utilizing Revit software
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Residential Plumbing / Mechanical design background preferred
• Working knowledge of applicable codes (UPC, IPC, IMC) and good planning skills a plus
• Hands-on experience in Residential Plumbing / Mechanical Installation a plus.
• Strong math skills a plus
• Familiar with general framing and construction details & processes
• Good people skills, good attitude, and the ability to operate as part of a team.
