Job: Nursing - Professional

The Registered Nurse is a member of the operating room team, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesia care providers, and surgical techs before an operation the RN helps prepare the operating room by setting up equipment, opening sterile supplies and solutions and preparing medications. Possesses knowledge and skills pertaining to sterile technique, and practices, to nursing principles, and practices for best patient outcomes. Accepts, identifies using dual identification, verifies site, and assesses each patient on arrival. Formulates a nursing diagnosis. Develops a plan to achieve patient goals as applicable to age and patient needs. Evaluates and documents each patients response to interventions. Teaches patient, family and/or significant others about preoperative cycle. This position requires the ability to understand and respond respectfully and effectively to the various ages, genders, disabilities, languages, socioeconomic statuses, religions, races and ethnicities brought by a diverse patient population that present at this facility for treatment. This position requires the ability to recognize the population specific needs of patients, and the ability to apply the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors to accommodate and meet those needs when performing patient care activities. This position requires knowledge of growth and developmental needs of patients and families. Personnel in this position must recognize and respond to the behaviors of patients and families in each age category. They must also be able to demonstrate the special skills required to care for patients and their families from birth to death according to standards. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.

Job Requirements

  • Requires graduation from accredited school of nursing.
  • Must maintain current State of Idaho Registered Nurse license.
  • AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers certification and hospital mandatories.
  • University/College Diploma or Transcript to meet I-Stat requirements.
  • Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • 1year of Surgery nursing experience and CNOR preferred.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Laborers will use compressed air and heat to remove moisture & debris from the pavement cracks and fill them with hot-applied asphalt based sealant.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age & have a valid Idaho drivers license.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time while being exposed to various weather conditions.
    • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

    A completed temporary application is required and must be submitted to Human Resources. This position will remain open until filled. Please do not complete an ACHD application, only the temporary application. Applications are only available at our Main Administration Building, located at 3775 N. Adams; Garden City, ID 83714.
