Supply Chain Manager at Boise

Job Description

High Quality Organics is looking for a Suppy Chain Manager to lead and support the Supply Chain team in achieving functional and company goals and develop the team members to be World Class.

At present there are 4 members in the team and the position is located in Reno,NV

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and executing Supply Chain plans ensuring that results relating to Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and Safety are delivered.
• Motivates the purchasing team and ensures functional objectives are delivered.
• Identifies and sources suppliers that meet HQO business requirements including cost, quality and delivery objectives. Delivers the expected results.
• Monitors supplier performance and assists with developing plans to improve
• Negotiates both long-term agreements and individual transactions
• Issues purchase orders
• Assists with collecting and preparing data used for the evaluation and selection of suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders
• Ensures supplier completion of all corrective actions
• Interact with staff at all levels, and with groups of wide social, cultural, and educational diversity.
• All other duties as assigned by VP of Supply Chain

Relationships

• Position reports to VP of Supply Chain and Operations
• Internal Relationships: Significant interaction with Purchasing, Sales, Production, Receiving, Shipping, Quality, Accounting and Management Staff.
• External Relationships: - Suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, customers

Measures of Performance

• Supplier and carrier on-time delivery to meet sales forecasts
• Customer on-time delivery with no back orders
• Material receipts to budget with cost per lb target achieved
• Inventory turns and month end inventory levels
• Year-over-year cost reductions
• Supplier quality performance

Job Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of management experience with a history of success in delivering positive results, building high performance teams and international purchasing.

• Basic understanding of federal and industry guidelines regarding food safety and compliance.
• Commitment to sustainability and making the world a better place for everyone we interact with.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Dynamic ability to inspire and lead a team to success with a “no excuses" attitude
• Strong organizational skills with ability to collect and prepare data and succinctly present to executive team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven history of consistently meeting deadlines
• Ability to exchange information in a formal meeting environment.
• Works well as a self-motivating team player, who thrives in a fast paced, multi-tasking and results-driven environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills
