Tetra Tech, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager / NEPA Specialist for our Boise, Idaho office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and marketing renewable energy (i.e., wind and solar), linear infrastructure (i.e., transmission and pipe lines), and NEPA related projects. This position will also oversee the effective utilization of personnel on projects, serve as the project manager, client contact and technical resource with direct involvement on assigned projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage projects including budgets, client and agency relations and technical staff.
- Report project development, work scopes, proposals and costs.
- Responsible for technical management, information synthesis and interpretation, assurance of quality of work processes and products.
- Master’s degree in an applicable field (biological science, natural resources or wildlife management, geology, or planning).
- Possess strong technical skills.
- 10-15 years of professional experience with both project management and NEPA or energy permitting projects, including linear projects.
- Possess strong strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong proposal and report writing / editing skills required.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication and oral presentation, organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to act independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and work processes is a must.
- A proven commitment to quality management, continuous improvement and client satisfaction.
- Experience in team leadership and staff mentoring, project management, and client/business development is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of NEPA regulatory compliance and permitting is necessary.
- Knowledge of CEQ and/or SEPA is a plus.
- A background in environmental consulting industry or a combination of agency/consulting is preferred.
