The Infrastructure and Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented GIS Specialist for immediate employment in the Boise, ID office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in GIS analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management. The incumbent can look forward to projects involving resource management and NEPA analysis; cultural investigations; technical GIS support to siting studies, impact analyses, and subsurface investigations; web and mobile GIS/GPS solutions and applications; and geospatial data management using ESRIs ArcGIS suite of products on a wide variety of environmental and engineering projects.Incumbent Responsibilities: GIS analysis for a wide variety of engineering and environmental projects Cartography and map production to support investigations and studies Proactively evaluating optimal and efficient solutions to geospatial problems on projects Effectively communicate with internal and external clients on GIS needsThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above.Do the best work of your life! Job Requirements

B.S. in Environmental/Geoscience, Planning, Resource Management or equivalentMinimum two years of experience in GIS Analysis, Geospatial Data Management, and CartographyKnowledge of GIS applied to Environmental Sciences and Resource ManagementStrong proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Suite of productsExperience with GPS data collection principles and associated data managementAbility and willingness to multi-task and work on many different projects simultaneously in a team environmentInterest in developing GIS Solutions and assist with GIS business development Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
