Position Summary:
The purpose of the Account Manager is to manage the relationship, promote and penetrate the full line of Swisher’s product/service solutions to current customers. The Account Manager will provide service to a defined customer base through routine visitation and preventative maintenance. The role is accountable for achieving volume, revenue, margin, and penetration growth targets within a defined book of business by growing Swisher share within existing customers through the sale of product and service offerings.
The role is expected to provide a mix of strategic and tactical solutions in a business-to business service environment. The role focuses on managing, retaining, and penetrating customers through Swisher’s full line of solutions. Being performance driven with dedication to achieving team goals will be critical to the success of this role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Customer Management: Maintains appropriate frequency of service visitation to ensure service expectations are met and relationships with key contacts are managed.
- Territory Planning: Understands territory situation, current accounts, competitors, and suppliers.
- Account Planning & Customer Knowledge: Understands customer objectives, needs, and financial drivers.
- Ownership & Performance Focus: Takes responsibility for and ownership of book of business.
- Relationship Management: Develops relationships within Swisher and within customer support structure and coordinates resources to achieve customer service or growth objectives.
- Market Knowledge: Keeps up-to-date and informed on market, industry, and regulatory issues.
- Technical Knowledge: Provide routine preventative maintenance and repair within defined chemical service accounts.
- Value Proposition: Understands and sells entire value offering from Swisher.
- Communication: Presents to customers with awareness of customer context.
- Negotiations & Solutions Agreement: Has sound judgment and problems solving skills to create win-win situations.
- Implementation Management: Reacts to additional customer demands and needs.
- Sales Administration: Has command of CRM.
- Pipeline Management: Manages pipeline proactively, recognizing competitor terms and customers’ stage in the decision cycle.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of similar account manager experience.
- Mechanical reasoning ability and exhibited problem solving skills used to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR report.
