Job Description

Merry Maids was founded in 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska by Dallen Peterson and his wife Glennis. One year later they began franchising offices within the United States.  In 1988, Merry Maids became part of the ServiceMaster family of service organizations.  Soon after that, Merry Maids corporate moved its home office to Memphis, TN and resides there still today. The number of Merry Maids offices, in the U.S. alone, has grown to approximately 500 locations. In addition, the company also provides home cleaning services in Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and Australia.


The position for which you will be applying will be at one of the nine Merry Maids franchise branches that are owned by Brad & Lisa Dionne.  Brad and Lisa started their first Merry Maids office in Lynnwood, Washington in 1987. In the following 25 years, 8 more locations have been acquired. Currently the other offices are located in Washington: Lynnwood, Lake Stevens and Spokane; California: El Cajon, Santa Ana, and Lawndale; Utah: Salt Lake City and Provo, and Idaho:  Meridian.

Job Details

We currently operate nine Merry Maids franchised branches, and this position is for an Assistant Branch Manager at our Meridian location.  At each branch, the Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for many aspects of that branch’s performance.  This person will focus on team recruiting, hiring and training new employees, quality control, field inspections, customer service and problem resolution, organizing daily activities and complicated work schedules, and leading the team to greater success each week. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop and motivate staff in a highly effective manner.
  • Lead cleaning team to be world class service providers with focus on complete customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct field inspections and supervise cleaning teams.
  • Ensure customer’s expectations are being met and exceeded.
  • Assist with improving processes around cleaning technique and systems
  • Solve customer service issues with professionalism and compassion, leading the team to high customer retention rates.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma, some college preferred. 
  • Must have 3+ years equivalent management experience.
  • Must possess a high level of leadership acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service experience with the proven ability to resolve customer complaints.
  • Experience in the service industry a plus
