We are seeking a strong Director, Medical Services to oversee implementation of department strategies in an assigned region.

• Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and operations and manage team quality and productivity
• Manage change and encourage innovation
•  Assist in the development of medical management strategies, policies, and infrastructure
• Collect, analyze, and interpret claims data and reports

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage and improve the performance of the department through effective oversight and coaching of teams

 

Monitor and survey member and provider satisfaction at annually. Evaluate any trends

 

Monitor and report performance for teams relating to performance objectives

 

Serve as liaison between Health Services and community providers

 

Continually improve quality of service, care, and processes for internal and external customers and provide oversight to disease management, case management, health promotion, behavioral health, and utilization management programs

 

Participate in Management planning, RFP development, and Budget Development

Job Requirements

Position requires a min of 3 years recent management experience with a health plan with experience in Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid programs

A clinical RN is with a CCM certification and strong experience in case management, disease management, utilization management and program development using evidence based medicine required. Experience with HEDIS, 5 Star and HCC related projects highly preferred
