Documentation Technician (AutoCAD)
System Tech is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to assist with project documentation for low voltage systems. These include category rated cabling, copper and fiber optic backbones, CCTV systems, audio visual systems and related technologies. This individual must have a strong skill set in the required software and require minimal supervision. Work will be assigned and overseen by BICSI Registered Communication Distribution Designers (RCDDs) and Project Managers.
Candidate must have proficient skills in the following software:
AutoCAD
Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
Microsoft Visio
Microsoft Project
Adobe Acrobat
Candidate responsibilities will include:
Understand and apply the ANSI/TIA-606 Administration Standard for Telecommunications Infrastructure
Obtain engineers original drawings for projects under contract
Prepare shop drawings to include:
o telecommunication outlets and labeling
o telecommunication room layouts and rack elevations
o one line diagrams
Create labor Gantt charts as needed
Create cable pulling schedules
Organize product submittal data
Organize and create project binders with labor schedules, drawings, specifications, addenda, pulling schedules and submittal data
Organize project closeout documents
o STI Warranty
o Manufacturer Warranty
o Cable Test Reports
o Updated As-built Drawings
o O&M Manuals
Create drawings from sketches and outlines for the RCDDs and PMs
Responsibilities will also include bid take offs, pricing requests, distributor job accounts, and other items assigned by management. Candidate will become intimately familiar with industry knowledge, documents and terminology.
This position is full time 32-40 hours per week. Please provide salary requirements with your resume. Internships are welcome. This job will be located in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
