Interested applicants are encouraged to apply for the new position of eCampus Business/Financial Manager. The manager needs to be flexible, collaborative, and responsive while working closely with eCampus director and associate director to manage Centers finances and provide financial support for established online programs. The manager will have the opportunity to develop diverse budget models for future growth and collaborate with academic departments to establish financially sustainable online programs. The manager will serve as an integral member of the Centers leadership team and eventually may supervise other employees. You will have the opportunity to: Guide the eCampus Centers accounting practices, ensure alignment with best practices and ensure compliance with university, state and federal regulations and procedures. Prepare and track annual and multi-year budgets. Guide and complete complex budgets, accounting practices, business processes, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and prepare and analyze financial reports. Co-manage operational and instruction budgets of $3M. Support current online academic program self-support budgets of $5.9M for numerous programs. Support the development and management of numerous future entrepreneurial funded budgets. Develop agreements and manage financial arrangements with service partners, vendors, and service providers. Develop and enact a system for tracking and reporting on the overall institutional revenue and expenses related to all Boise State online education activity on an annual basis. Work with others to organize and present business related information for decision making. Serve effectively and cooperatively as a member of the Center team. Serve as a positive, proactive, and conscientious member of the Centers leadership team. Develop and maintain positive, collaborative, respect-based relationships with co-workers, clients, and stakeholders. Lead and supervise staff members as appropriate. At a minimum you should have: A bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent experience. Plus five (5) years of similar work with one (2) years in the same type of work. Plus one (1) year of supervisory/managerial experience. Demonstrated broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures for both internal and external financial reporting requirements. Understanding of business and financial practices in a public organization or similar complex organization, to include knowledge of principles of fund accounting and internal controls. Ability to develop, analyze, and report on financial data; monitor/review internal financial controls; resolve technical accounting, auditing or budgeting problems; prepare financial documents for management review; analyze financial activities; and recommend or implement management actions. Ability to complete all financial tasks working with limited, shared support staff. Willingness and ability to do bookkeeping and data entry tasks whenever needed. Experience developing budget models/forecasts. Ability to work with and improve existing models when appropriate. Experience with PeopleSoft or similar institutional accounting/data system with specific experience utilizing complex information, financial management systems, and data querying tools. Experience preparing financial and/or auditor statements, schedules, and reports. Expert computer skills with Excel spreadsheets, financial models, graphs, and reports. Strong attention to accurate detail. Strong organizational skills. Skills in data analysis and reporting. Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively to cultivate and strengthen the existing culture. Able to cultivate excellent working organizational relationships with all Boise State offices and academic departments. Demonstrated ability to work positively and successfully within a dynamic team and interact effectively with co-workers. Preferentially, you will have: Masters Degree in accounting, public administration, business administration, or related field and four (4) years of the same type of work experience. Demonstrated professional administrative experience in a complex organization, including establishing efficient processes, purchasing, personnel administration, and planning. Experience working in a continuing education organization, online/distance learning organization, familiarity with distance learning concepts and practices. Experience working with auditors. More than one year of supervisory/managerial experience. Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant.
