Job Description

Our organization is looking for an organized and analytical RN with leadership experience to provide operational leadership and oversight for clinicians and patients.

Job Responsibilities include:
 

  • Planning, organizing, initiating, implementing and evaluating the patient care delivery system and meeting specific physician orders for patients.
  • Orienting, educating, supervising, coordinating and evaluating patient care staff about patient care and efficiency, and serve as a liaison between staff and management.
  • Monitoring financial, operational and patient data to keep branch operating at peak efficiency (such as staffing levels, patient supply needs and insurance claim/reimbursement processes)
  • Supervising the maintenance of accurate patient care records and accurately coordinate admissions.
  • Ensuring branch adherence to practice standards as they apply to patient care and for responding to patient needs and complaints.
  • Participating in the Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement plan processes.
  • Organizing patient referrals, staff schedules and other management details with Clinical leaders
  • Managing staffing levels as appropriate
  • Reviewing pre-billing for accuracy, performing other billing duties
  • Organizing and reviewing budget/financial data
  • Administering payroll
  • Meeting with therapists to discuss patient cases 
  • Conducting meetings and reviewing patient care reports with Medical Directors and physicians
  • Particating in conference calls with executive leadership team members as required
  • Conducting staff case conferences to go review performance and patient caseload

Job Requirements

Qualified applicants must possess:

  • Current RN license in state of employment
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in home health field and 1 year experience in home health office, both as an RN
  • Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, ability to travel as needed
  • Being dedicated to customer service
  • Having computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Being comfortable reviewing and working with financial data
  • Background in accounting, business, healthcare management and/or finance preferred
  • Leadership experience required and home health experience preferred

An understanding of the financial and operational data for a home health agency.  An excellent communication skills, be able to advocate for both patients and employees and the skills to balance the interests of the company and the people we serve. You must be an independent decision maker and be able to manage people in a motivational and constructive way, as well solve financial and quality control related problems.
