Job Classification: Contract CNC MACHINIST/PROGRAMMERWe are currently looking for a CNC Machinist/programmer who wants to get into an established shop and build a great career!Job Description:Individuals will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills. Qualified candidates will be working with many different materials and tolerances and will be setting up machines and checking finished parts. Candidates need to experienced editing G and M codes and programming in SurfCam, MasterCam, or CAMworks. He or she will be taking the model from SolidWorks and applying it to the CNC program. Candidates will also be using multi-axis machines and doing some work on horizontal machines. He or she must be able to work with Mazak and Fadul machines and Fanuc controls. Qualified Candidates will have:It least 2 years of experience working in a CNC machine shop. 2 year machinist degree or machinist certificate seed as beneficial but not necessary Experience operating CNC mills and performing set ups including editing G and M Codes and pro forming offset adjustment.Experience programming in Solidwors, CAMworks, SurCam, GibbsCam, or MasterCam is HIGHLY preferred.Experience working with different materials and under different tolerancesReliableDetail orientatedThe most qualified candidate should have a two (2) year machinist degree or machinist certificate and have at least two (2) years working as a CNC machinist in a job shop environment. He or she must also have experience operating CNC mills and performing set ups and editing G and M Codes on these machines. Experience with programming in Solid Works, CAMworks, and SurfCam is preferred, and MasterCam or GibbsCam experience is accepted. He or she should have experience working with different materials and tolerances. This individual must be detail oriented and be able to work in a high pressure environment. This position is a full time contract to hire position. This position has a wage of $16-20/hr depending on experience.
