Position Description:

You will take inbound calls in a high volume call center for callers/members and providers-- seeking assistance with eligibility on claims or authorizations in regards to their insurance. You will be receiving on average of 70 calls a day, most of your calls will be from providers or representatives of members. You will be using Lynx/ Facets which is the database management system where you will be checking claims status in order to resolve claims. You will be on a dialer which will route all call to you. Environment is structured and requires that staff adhere to assigned schedules at all times. In order to be successful in this role candidate must be open to change.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

HS Diploma/GED
Must be able to type 40 WPM
6+ monthsexperience in anoffice setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
6+ monthsexperience in clerical or administrator work.
6+ months Call Center with high volume.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Assets:

Experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid
Basic experience withPC- Word
Experience working in health care environment
