The Finance Director is responsible for various financial functions including business analytics, annual planning and quarterly forecasting, metrics reporting and ad-hoc analysis. This person will also create in-depth financial models and analysis of company financial and operational metrics to evaluate and influence numerous aspects of the companys business performance. The person in this position will have broad responsibilities, including:- Finance lead supporting new Idaho Medicaid program, responsible for profitability of the business partnering with the Idaho CEO and rest of local leadership team
- Extensive external customer and provider network interaction focusing on contract performance and identifying ways to promote positive change in the Medicaid mental health system
- Generating annual financial plans and quarterly forecasts as well as month-end close process specific to Idaho program - Membership analysis and impact on revenue payments and medical trend - Monthly analysis of medical expense results, premium yields, identifying trends, variances and potential performance opportunities and/or concerns at the contract level - Partner with contract leadership to drive excellent financial performance and control cost levers, including medical and operating expenses - Lead and develop local finance team, leveraging corporate processes while tailoring them to address the unique requirements of the state program
- Lead development of business/financial case for specific initiatives or capital investments - Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and identify areas of improvement - Participate in a wide variety of special projects and evaluate new business opportunities- Very strong communications skills needed for working with matrixed internal & external customers and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred. - 7+ years progressive financial planning and analysis experience - Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance professionals across the enterprise
- Excellent communication skills, at all levels of the organization, with consideration to the intended audience and use of formal and informal communication
- Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform a wide array of situational based financial analysis
- Advanced proficiency in a variety of financial planning and reporting software; working knowledge of Essbase, Peoplesoft and Hyperion Planning a plus
