Description
TSYS is seeking an inventive and motivated Test Analyst for a full time, permanent position in the Emerging Technologies Department of our North America IT Division. Office locations are in Columbus, Georgia as well as Boise, Idaho.
The Test Analyst will provide testing support of development projects for the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), the foundational layer of TSYSs service oriented architecture. The test analyst will be a member of our Emerging Technologies team, working to maintain and enhance key aspects of our connected mobility agenda. Connected mobility enables consumers and businesses to connect and communicate in real time through a variety of devices that support mobility, business applications, and commerce.

Job Specific Info:
Opportunity to work with connected mobility products tied to mobile devices. Participate in efforts to design and execute quality test approaches for the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). This would include both existing functionality and strategic efforts related to mobile devices.
Opportunity to work with both distributed and mainframe platforms when testing products that utilize many different applications/services.
Summary
Analyzes business and/or technical requirements to formulate a testing plan according to the life cycle development methodology. Produces test plans and scripts necessary to satisfy business and/or technical requirements. Performs risk assessment of test designs and scenarios to mitigate risk while still meeting required timelines. Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects that are detected during the testing activity. Performs test analyses and issues resolutions of business and project requirements.
Responsibilities
Level of supervision and direction provided dependent on job title. Executes on-line, batch and data verification testing of enterprise services and validates test results. Creates test designs (on-line, batch and data verification) based on project requirements. Identifies the need to test different options and work flow processes on different test platforms. May conduct test plan reviews as needed. Uses automated testing tools to create, design, and execute test plans. Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects discovered during the testing activity. May review documentation such as business and technical specifications in order to ensure that the documentation is updated and accurate. May support or participate in the execution of Quality Analyst job duties. Works on multiple tasks as necessary to meet project timelines according to deliverable requirements of the development lifecycle methodology.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
Four year college degree and four or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
Addl preferences but not required:
-experience in new product/application testing
- XML WebService testing knowledge (understanding how XML Services (XMLM packets) are used to transfer data between mainframe and web services)
- Some knowledge of TCM (TSYS Configuration Manager)
