Software QA Tester (Boise) at Boise

Job Description

At iTradeNetwork in Boise we highly value a tester who can find integration issues, subtle bugs and usability issues.  As part of our QA team you will create detailed test plans and test data to verify that web based products function according to specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Candidates should have excellent critical thinking skills, experience with integration testing as well as server/side and data validation and Exploratory / Rapid testing methodologies. 

 

Responsibilities 

• Review business requirements and specifications for testability
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or manual tests
• Perform feature testing and system regression tests
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, report defects, effectively advocate bugs to software developers
• Triage and drive customer reported issues to resolution

 

Job Requirements

(Minimum qualifications required to perform the job)

• 3+ years experience in software test, developing and executing test cases,
• 2+ years querying data with SQL
• Exploratory Testing, Performance, Security (OWASP Top Ten) a plus
• Familiarity with Client/Server Internet technologies.
• Self-starter who works well independently and in teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Testing experience in all phases: Feature, System, Integration, and Performance / Security Testing
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• C# proficiency is a plus
