Training & Quality Specialist Meridian, Idaho at Boise

OptumHealthis currentlyseeking a motivated Training and Quality Specialist for our new positions in theBoiseIdaho area. This would includingdeveloping and implementing the training programs for all levels of staff. This positionsupports theQuality Improvement Director in oversight of quality improvement efforts related to clinical quality performance measures and performance improvement projects. Supports Quality Improvement Committee process.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supports the Quality Improvement (QI) program and activities, including the QI committee structure

Coordinates quality projects in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

Develops training programs and curriculum modules for all levels of staff to increase employee awareness of contract and performance requirements

Prioritizing training initiatives and educational efforts to ensure urgent issues are addressed promptly and resolved

Designing and developing clinical training programs and curriculum modules

Coordinating and scheduling the implementation of training

Assisting project teams in identifying performance issues

Conducting new hire orientation and systems training

Monitors compliance with established performance standards, assisting project teams in identifying performance issues, generating solutions for identified problem areas and driving action plans to maintain compliance with contract requirements

Evaluates quality and training program effectiveness

Manages quality of care concerns

Reports on the status of quality projects for senior management

Works on special projects as assigned

Prioritizes quality and training initiatives and educational efforts to ensure urgentissues are addressed promptly and resolved

Designs appropriate communications, training, and performance support materials

Qualifications:

Masters Degree
Licensed and registered as behavioral health professional in the State of Idaho; Current non-restricted license strongly preferred.
Previous Trainingexperience required
Previous Quality Improvementexperience required
Familiar with regulatory and accreditation agencies and their QI requirements, including CMS, HEDIS and NCQA/JCAHO
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications specifically MS Word and PowerPoint; able to work in MS Excel, and excellent writing skills required
Research methodology and statistical analysis skills preferred
Demonstrated experience with assessing training effectiveness, customer needs/requirements and learner retention, preferred
Background in instructional design, strongly preferred
Familiarity or knowledge of SnagIt, Visio, Flash, Dreamweaver or Authorware is a plus
