Creative Services Manager at Meridian

Job Description

To determine the best ways for BCI to visually represent the companys identity online, in print, on posters and in all graphic executions, involving development of high-level concepts for design projects. Work with internal and external clients, pitching designs, and understanding client needs. Recruit and manage third party design firms and internal design resources.

Required Experience:
* 5 years working with large-scale web sites, e-marketing, and advertising

Required Education:
* Bachelors degree in Fine Arts or similar field equivalent

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
* Interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design as well as industry best practices
* Layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web
* Design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process
* Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns

Skills:
* Visual design
* Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
* Good written and verbal communication
* Microsoft Word - Basic
* Microsoft Excel - Basic
* Microsoft Outlook - Basic

Ability to:
* Storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions
* Lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design, including image optimization and site mapping
* Make evaluative judgments
* Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
* Train and provide lead responsibilities to more junior employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Masters degree
* Leadership/supervisory experience

Position reports to: Director, Corporate Communications
Starting Salary (Grade 16): $55,894 - $69,868
