Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the administrative functions related to operational safety, regulatory compliance, evaluating and administering safety and environmental compliance programs. This includes the administration of safety and training programs, i.e., behavior based safety, accident prevention, investigation programs, safety training/incentive programs, facility safety policies and work practices compliance, regulatory compliance (OSHA), hazard communication and emergency response programs. Develop and maintain a relationship with the company physician, and lead all internal/local investigations. This position will maintain the M.S.D.S. manuals. Will be responsible for location Environmental reporting, daily/weekly/monthly and quarterly Environmental inspections,  conduct all annual SWPPP, and environmental training as applicable, responsible for updating and task completion on locations Environmental ECAT system,  responsible for completing and involving supervision in completing all internal monthly environmental audits.  Active participant on the safety team, act as a technical and administrative resource to the plant.

Basic Qualifications:  This position requires a high level of attention to detail and expectations of meeting all performance and compliance goals in regards to Safety and Environmental.  Candidates must demonstrate strong interaction skills, have the ability to create and conduct training, be able to multi-task, prioritize, complete action items and meet deadlines.  Willing to work hours conducive to a 24-hour operation as this position will need to provide training and resources to the off-shift personnel at times.  In addition, this position may travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:  Ideal candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing processes and OSHA regulations and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
