DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates closely with the Director of Engineering, Production Manager and Administration.
- Performing internal audits.
- Addressing non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
- Conducting a Management Review of the Quality System.
- Following-up on and closing pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests.
- Insuring that organizational systems and training is in place.
- Manage organization’s ISO 9001 system and all its requirements
- Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary.
- Working with large multinational OE customers on compliance with their individual quality systems.
- Working with internal manufacturing team and external suppliers on quality issues and continuous improvement.
- Work with supply chain team to improve supplier’s quality performance, initiate NCM / corrective action, and debit processes.
- Manage / Improve incoming inspection system
- Manage company’s NCM (Non-Conforming Material) system
- Electronics background including PCBA and box-build experience.
- A self-starter who can work outside the constraint of normal hours to be available for both our customers and domestic / foreign suppliers.
- Ability to respond quickly to customer concerns and/or deal with supplier issues real time.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent. 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance. Managing a small team of people to achieve goals and continuous improvement. Six Sigma experience / certification. Experience implementing and/or maintain a business’s ISO system as the primary person responsible for the overall all system. Primary responsibility for maintaining and improving upon our ISO certification. Maintenance of external customer quality portals with data and other required information. Experience responding to large OE quality concerns including 8D’s. Verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.
