Job Description
Volts Client in St. Maries, ID, is in need of a Systems Administrator. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations, servers, network equipment, and operating systems in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems in accordance with corporate policy.
Primary tasks include supporting the PCs, network and end users of a local area network. Set up new PCs and troubleshoot problems on existing PCs and networks. There are approximately 175 PCs. The location is one part of a larger corporate wide area network.

Job Requirements
Systems Administrator Qualifications:
- Advanced PC troubleshooting skills and Microsoft Server, Windows XP and Windows 7 experience.
- Domain administration skills required.
- Intermediate skills installing/troubleshooting networks, switches and routers desired.
- Experience with network topology, routing, IP addressing, Domain Name Resolution, Virtual Private Networks and remote access required.
- MCSE desirable.
- Corporate software packages used include Dynamics AX (ERP), UltiPro (HR), LumberTrack (sales and inventory) and Microsoft Office 2010.
- Minimum of 3 years of information systems experience required with an emphasis on applications and PC support and database administration.
- Associates degree in computer related field required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Advanced PC troubleshooting skills and Microsoft workstation and server operating systems required.
- Experience or training in basic relational database design and implementation, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server required. Experience with report structuring from SQL Server (SQL Serve Reporting Services or Crystal Reports desirable) and the ability to create complex Microsoft SQL Queries preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server with Domain administration skills required. MCSE desirable.
- Intermediate skills installing/troubleshooting networks, switches and routers required. Experience with network topology, routing, IP addressing, Name Resolution, Virtual Private Networks, remote access and telephony solutions required.
- Ability to respond to occasional problem calls during off hours.
