Job Description

Growing company is looking for experienced Electrical Engineers.The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design development of electrical systems for locomotive equipment. Responsible for interpreting equipment requirement specifications and designing systems to meet those requirements while achieving cost and reliability targets. You will also be responsible for material and component selection to meet specification requirements and for the generation of electrical schematics and build documentation.You must work as part of a cross functional team to integrate electrical systems into the overall product while maintaining cost, quality and schedule commitments.Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Job Requirements

Job Requirements include 3 years of experience, with broad range of electrical experience including: rotating electrical machinery, power generation, control systems, communications systems and diagnostics. Also the ability to generate electrical schematics a must.You must also have basic knowledge of mechanical systems including pneumatic, diesel engines and cooling systemsAnd experience with industrial AC power generation and knowledge of variable frequency drives a plus. Along with locomotive, off-road equipment, military, aerospace, marine or other transportation-related industry experience is highly desirable.Software Experience in Engineering Base, Teamcenter, MS Office Suite and BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
