The Webmaster is responsible for day-to-day development, operation and maintenance of the Citys web and intranet sites, and ensures that all web pages comply with appropriate policies, guidelines and standards. Working in cooperation with other City staff, the position is responsible for all internal and external web communication for the City, and coordinates web functions, monitors web activities, and incorporates new technologies into the web and intranet sites.Qualifications:The Webmaster position requires a minimum of two years training and experience in web design and management, and the proven ability to design and implement artistically appealing and functional websites, including file structures, graphic design and coding. The position requires extensive experience with web development and graphic design tools, social media platforms, Microsoft Office and Adobe products, Web video platforms and other web-based tools, and a broad understanding of social media.The position requires a creative individual with excellent interpersonal and public relations skills which are necessary for successful interaction with City staff, vendors and the general public. The position also requires outstanding customer service and communication skills in order to work with others on various we-based and media-related projects. The position necessitates the ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments from multiple sources, stay on task and meet deadlines.
