·  The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs such as task management, Government Travel Card (TGC) program, drug demand reduction program, health care program, fitness program, Government Purchase Card (GPC) program, safety program, Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) accounts, security program, supply program, civilian timecard program, etc.

·  Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions by administering programs and serving as the primary source of information.

·  Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs.

·  Serves as a unit liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices.

·  Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.  Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-05) or equivalent. Specialized experience must include knowledge of an extensive body of p9olicies and procedures governing the overall unit administrative and orderly room operation, knowledge of various steps and procedures needed to perform duties, to ensure all actions are accomplished and to identify other alternatives to problems, knowledge of standard processes and procedures for evaluating program efficiency, knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondences and reports, and a knowledge of various office automation software processing procedures and functions to produce a wide range of documents.

Federal Time-In-Grade (TIG): Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions: Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-05 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.  TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
