Pharmaceutical Sales Territory Manager 

** Please note: Those with previous pharmaceutical sales experience & more than 7 years of professional work experience will be over qualified for this opportunity.

 

Job Description:

 

The pharmaceutical sales representative promotes cardiovascular prescription pharmaceutical products through effective sales efforts to identified, targeted prescribers and serves as the company’s primary customer interface.  The primary activity of all pharmaceutical sales representatives is to effectively represent the company and the company’s products and generate prescription sales.  Each pharmaceutical sales representative maintains an active customer call file, makes routine sales calls on identified, targeted prescribers, and retail pharmacies and promotes the product features and patient benefits of the company’s products to continually drive awareness, adoption, and routine prescribing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Achieve monthly prescription sales performance objectives through effective sales presentations to customers, efficient territory management, and thorough product knowledge (including knowledge of competitive products and therapies)
  • Promote Arbor Pharmaceuticals products to identified, targeted prescribers (primarily pediatricians and pediatric healthcare professionals) in assigned geography to drive product awareness, adoption, and routine prescribing of products
  • Establish effective retail pharmacy stocking levels in key geography based on identified, targeted prescriber locations and prescribing of Arbor Pharmaceuticals products
  • Maintain effective coverage of sales territory through consistent customer targeting, call routing, and routine follow up of all identified, targeted prescribers
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of sales, customer and territory account information, pharmacy stocking information, and product information
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of pharmaceutical (and other Arbor product) physician sample inventory to remain compliant with all elements of PDMA guidelines
  • Maintain and consistently adhere to territory sales plans to maximize sales performance
  • Maintain consistent, routine communication with Arbor Pharmaceuticals colleagues (phone, email, written) to consistently improve territory and corporate sales performance
  • Maintain consistent adherence to high standards of professionalism and performance

 

Performance Expectations:

 

  • Meet monthly prescription sales objectives as defined by Arbor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. corporate objectives (as measured by Monthly Territory Zip Code Sales Reports)
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly customer (physician and pharmacy) call activity goals
  • Meet administrative expectations as defined by Arbor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. senior management

    Job Requirements

    Minimum Requirements:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree required with documented academic success
    • Previous Pharmaceutical Sales experience NOT REQUIRED
    • 2 – 3 years successful business-to-business sales experience
    • Demonstrated selling skills, organization, focus and determination
    • Demonstrated strong leadership and academic achievements
    • Excellent work ethic and customer focused orientation
    • Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communications skills
