Division Product Manager I at Boise

Job Description

Responsibilities:  This positions primary focus is on pine boards.  Determines product lines, selects vendors, negotiates pricing, terms of purchase, promotional support, purchase rebates, monitors regions performance, and assists in purchasing the Divisions board product lines in support of the location product managers.  Work with National Accounts Managers and vendors to develop custom programs for customers.  Advises and guides branches on market conditions and strategy, inventory management, margin improvement and coordinates block buys.  Includes setting up promotional programs and utilizing vendors promotional materials.  Maintains the Division board SKU file.  Works with branch personnel to coordinate buys and monitor overall contribution of boards.  Assist with training of inventory management, profitability, and vendor relationships.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:  Requires Bachelors degree in, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience. Must have demonstrated presentation skills, positive interpersonal skills and be willing to aggressively identify and act on sales and profit opportunities.  Advanced/in-depth knowledge of product, production, and the industry.  Must have a demonstrated commitment to customer service.  Requires proficiency in utilizing computer software applications, including excel.

Preferred Qualifications:  Understands the Boise Cascade marketing strategy.
