Job Description

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for the coordination of all equipment set-ups and staff scheduling as directed. The Clinical Assistant acts as a liaison between clinicians and referral sources,troubleshooting questions and problems with patients/clients. Some of the duties and responsibilities include: Work with patients, physicians, therapists, insurance companies and referral sources tooptimize the equipment needs for clients Obtain necessary documentation and authorizations required for equipment coverage Assist with clinical, sales support and home transition staff Assist customer service staff to coordinate respiratory-related discharges Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules Coordinate clinician schedules and patient set-ups, communications Scheduling clinical staff Perform other tasks as assigned or neededAdditional Knowledge of respiratory diagnoses/diseases and treatment Experience with oxygen and respirator equipment A thorough understanding of Level 1 Customer Service and equipment set-up processes, anda good understanding of the Level 2 billing criteria Makes deliveries when necessaryKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a caring, personable manner Excellent public relations and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including phone demeanor Ability to read written materials, PC screen, etc. Excellent office skills - (Microsoft Office, Docuware applications) Ability to learn new equipment and technologies quickly Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and over 50 lbs. occasionally to a height of 36 inches Previous home care experience Good rapport with referral agencies, physician offices, patients, etc.This position is temp to hire, M-F and pay rate begins at $12 hourly.Candidates interested in applying for this position should go to www.manpowerjobs.com to create an account and upload a resume.
